At the recent close of their fiscal quarter, BioTek Instruments, Inc., a leader in microplate instrumentation technology, has entered into an unprecedented legacy of success encompassing the past sixteen quarters. During this period, the Company reports that their business has nearly doubled, and they continue to significantly outpace the market, with a growth rate of 15-20% per year, compared to the market average growth rate of 6-7% per year.

“Our rapid growth is the direct result of the leverage we enjoy from having a very experienced and well-qualified team working for our customers,” notes President and CEO Briar Alpert. He also remarked on several new products recently introduced that are expected to add to the continued growth.

The NanoQuot™ submicroliter microplate dispenser was released earlier this year, providing a much-needed high-value solution for low volume microplate dispensing in both life science research and drug discovery applications. Synergy™ 2 Multi-Detection Microplate Reader, launched in June, is the first of a new generation of multi-detection microplate readers that reflect the convergence of requirements associated with HTS/Drug Discovery and life science research. Finally, Gen5™ Microplate Data Collection and Analysis Software debuted in May, and will be included with all high-end BioTek Instruments’ detection instruments for optimal reader control, data analysis and reporting in a variety of microplate applications.

The company also confirms that they expect to invest significant resources towards key departments within the organization. Research and development funds will be used to focus on proprietary developments, while service and manufacturing departments are anticipated to enhance and improve responsiveness towards the company’s growing customer base. Global additions to the marketing and sales departments continue as the company penetrates new markets and territories.
